What to Expect in Your Sessions
Initial Evaluation and Assessment
Your first session includes a comprehensive evaluation to tailor our sessions to your specific needs.
Birth Preparation Sessions
Session 1: Labor and Birth Positioning
Master effective positioning techniques that promote smoother labor progress, whether for a vaginal birth or C-section. We’ll explore the levels of the pelvis and encourage your partner to join, ensuring you both feel prepared and confident. For planned C-sections, we’ll cover essential early postpartum healing practices, including how your partner can assist with your first shower, support you from sitting to standing, and more.
Session 2: Perineal Massage & Pelvic Floor Relaxation
Discover effective techniques for both internal and external pelvic floor relaxation, essential for preparing for a vaginal birth or C-section. We’ll dive deep into scar mobilization, desensitization, and massage methods to support healing. You’ll also learn to recognize signs of infection, along with belly binding and taping techniques to aid postpartum recovery.
Session 3: Breathing Mechanics & Push Preparation
Learn focused breathing techniques to help you stay calm and centered through each stage of labor, plus push preparation for a smoother, more effective delivery. Planning a C-section? Not to worry! We’ll work on core strengthening to prepare for abdominal surgery and discuss best practices for early mobility and walking in recovery.
Session 4: Final Prep & Confidence Boost
In this final session, we’ll tie everything together. We’ll review key techniques from your previous sessions, answer any lingering questions, and address any last-minute concerns. Whether it’s refining your breathing techniques, revisiting labor positions, or discussing recovery plans, this session ensures you feel fully prepared and confident as you approach your birth experience.
Postpartum Session
After birth, come back for a postpartum session to focus on initial recovery and receive expert guidance as you transition into motherhood.
